Sorry I don’t know if this should be in tech support or How To…

We have 8 sites and each site has it’s own “Editor”. We would like to have the Editor of each site to have their own Blog Roll/Link List. The problem is that when I edited a setting in there for my editor (I am a super admin) it moved the list from them to I.

Is there a way to assign link lists to various member groups?

Please let me know if you need more details.

Thank you!

Hey - how are you creating your link list? Is this a weblog or using the third-party module?

Linklist is a third party module, so I’m going to move this down to the ‘Modules’ section. The best person for advise on this one will be the module author. But- I do have this one installed (nice module)- but I’ve only played with it a little. Did you create a separate list for each author? I think that’s how I’d handle it.

If so- is the problem that when you edit their links, they change from one list to another? Seems odd. Or- how do you have it set up? (And hopefully other folks who use the module in more complex ways will chime in- I’ve only got a single list and haven’t dinked with it too much.)

The problem is that when a Super Admin edits one of the link lists that were created by the Editors, the link list reassigns itself to the Super Admin. Do I just need to go in the database and re-key-in which member each list is assigned to if i need to make changes to the lists?

Thanks!

I’m not actually sure of Yoshi is still around, but I’d recommend asking him (he’s the author of this module) about this on his forums or directly.
