This extension adds a new custom field type that launches Moxicodes File Manager when you click the associated icon.
Once a file is selected the path is inserted in the field.
You obviously need the Moxicode File Manager for this extension to work.
The only extension setting is the folder path to the file manager script.
There is new documentation and download available on my Expression Engine customisation resource!
I don’t know, what is wrong, but it doesn’t work.
Do you have the image manager installed. Its an additional plugin developed by Moxicode. You have to purchase it from them.
If you have purchased it check the extension settings. There is only one setting which is the path the folder which includes the filemanager,js file
Why is code
generated twice?
Fixed! Just grab the download again.
Just a quick note:
There is new documentation and download available on my Expression Engine customisation resource!

Hey all,
I have Filemanager installed and working well as a plugin with TinyMCE, as well as with EE using this extension.
I’m having one small issue with the file uploads however (permission denied). Anyone have any pointers on setting up the Filemanager authentication for use with EE, to allow uploads?
Tx!
Leevi, since I can’t test this out before dropping the bucks on the MC File Manager plug-in, I have three questions.
First, does the File Manager plugin respect the upload locations and permissions set in the CP?
Second, does the plugin simply add a relative link to the file location in a custom field?
Finally, what are the strengths over other file upload options? I’m new to EE …

Ok “)
First, does the File Manager plugin respect the upload locations and permissions set in the CP?
Nope…. this just launches the file manager… There has been some preliminary work donr in using the ExpressionEngine security in the FileManager but I didn’t get too far. I’m guessing this will never be implemented with EE 2.0 around the corner
Second, does the plugin simply add a relative link to the file location in a custom field?
Yep… or you can make it a full URL
Finally, what are the strengths over other file upload options? I’m new to EE …
You can store as many files as you want and have a visual interface to handle them.
I would really like to build a custom EE file / image manager in the future but like I said with ee2.0 around the corner we will just need to wait and see
