Static Field Extension - Dropdown Field List Not Updating with Latest Fields

Hi there,

I’ve been using the Static Field Extension for a month or two now and find it very useful for pre-populating custom fields that don’t change that often. It makes data entry so much quicker when adding images to a gallery weblog (and all the photo info), for example.

I’ve just came across an issue though that I wanted to post about - I did post on the author’s site, but thought I might get some community advice here too/instead.

I’ve just edited the two files for the extension so that ‘total groupings’ is set to 6 (I previously had it as 3, but I’ve just added more fields to my weblog and wanted to add default values to these too). And ‘weblog_ids’ remains as 4 (the ID of the weblog in question).

My issue is that although I now see 6 sets of fields in the extension, when I click the field dropdown box, I am only seeing 10 fields and the new fields that I created a few days ago aren’t listed there. Also, and rather strangely, some of the fields listed are actually being used in a different weblog and a different field group.

I’ve disabled/enabled the extension, cleared out the EE cache, and even deleting the files from my FTP space and re-uploaded them, but to no avail.

Any ideas how I can fix this? I did look at the extensions table of the MySQL database to see if there were any obvious values I could add (and so adding in the data via the db), but even when I added a single field to the extension, the values in the table seemed very difficult to understand the pattern being entered so I didn’t feel able to guess this.

Thanks,

Ste
