Okay, I am now offically releasing my first plugin for Expression Engine, though certainly not my last.

This plugin is truly a one trick pony. What it does, is grab the expiration date of the comment to any post, and then returns the date using whatever formatting you desire. If the comment does not expire, it prints a configurable string to that effect.

Quick usage directions:

Download the plugin from: http://brianbommarito.cachefly.net/comment_expiration.zip Unzip the zip into your system/plugins folder. Go to Admin/Utilities/Plugin Manager and make sure it’s loaded.

To display it, you use: {exp:comment_expiration entry_id={entry_id} date_format=”<format string>” no_expiration=”<String to print when no expiration>”} and…that’s it.

This can be used anywhere; in {exp:weblog:entries} tag or outside, and as long as you feed it an entry id, it works. Enjoy and comment if you like it, hate it, think something should be changed.
