Hello,
I’m having problems in getting the correct size when uploading images - I’d like to eg. get all my small thumbs either 120x90 (landscape) or 90x120 (portrait) with maintained aspect ratio. I thought that setting the Thumbnail Width x Height parameter to 120x120 would lead to the desired result, but it doesn’t. it seems to me that EE doesn’t check whether there is a portrait or landscape image uploaded.
Is there a quick fix to this issue.
Thank you
Edit: setting var $master_dim = ‘auto’ solves the resizing issue when creating the thumbnail - however, I hope there is a setting somewhere so I don’t have to mess around with the code. Nevertheless, using {thumb_width} and {thumb_height} still shows the wrong dimensions - let’s say, I set 150x150 in the gallery thumbnail parameter - when I have a landscape image, thumb_width show 200 and thumb_height shows 150 instead of 150 and 113 respectively.
Edit: another issue I discovered is the followig - having the following watermark text: “© Copyright 2007” and clicking on the “Test Your Watermark Settings” works fine - However, when creating the thumbnails, the ©ascii doesn’t get converted into the copyright sign like this © - it just shows “& copy;”
you’re right - seems to be pretty obvious. what also kind of bugs me is that the EE team not even takes notice of this post - at least not yet; I have been using modx so far and I always appreciated the excellent support I was getting there although it “only” an Open Source project - at the moment, I feel kind of disappointed about the support I’m getting here for a piece of code that I had to by a licence - I’m afraid I will move back to modx soon - feels like I have wasted some money here!
