No output between plugin tags

I must be going nuts, I’m sure this is the simplest question ever, but I can’t for the life of me figure out the cause.
I have a template, calling my plugin, the plugin works, there are no errors.
{exp:entryfeeds} <title>{title}</title> {/exp:entryfeeds}
…the {title} data is outputting, but the actual ‘<title></title>’ text is not, why on earth is that?

Sorry, found it.
Needed to use swap_var_single();
