Request: Template Syntax Highlighting

There are some great little online code editors out there that might work great when editing templates. I often find myself copying and pasting into my code editor app just to get the highlighting. It’s a step which I’d like to avoid in the future 😊

Is there a plugin already available that does this, or if not, what’s stopped someone from adding this feature?
