This is an odd request methinks. In the interest of tracking a variety of user actions on my site, and performing some calculations in some profile custom fields based on those results, I’m interested to know if there’s a kind of global intercept of some kind. The question is asked in order to determine if there’s any way to avoid needing to write multiple extensions to handle several use cases, instead of a ‘grand unifying one’.

For example, something pseudo along the lines of:

{if ACT = ''}
do this
{if:else}
do this
{if:else}
do this
{/if}

Mod Edit: Moved to the Extensions: Technical forum.

DEA,

You are being a tad to abstract for my brain at the moment. But I’m getting from the above that you want to be able to use conditionals within the member profile templates? And are wondering if perhaps an extension or an added hook might allow that?

Hi Jamie, Not the member templates per se; for a general scenario, say every time a user adds a comment, a field in their profile is incremented by X amount of ‘points’.
