Hi guys … now that LGPoll is out am I right to assume that King of Fools awesome FREE to the community effort (EEPoll) is now simply superseded? (If you have the $60?)
What has been the experience with LGPoll?
Many thanks to all, esp KoF for the original EEPoll effort (after all my Forum complaining), and LG for making more EE module options available to us all (commercial or otherwise)

Given that LGPoll really is priced at 80$ and Leevi only now sells for an introductory special of 60$, I’d expect still some interest in the free EEPoll variant. Of course, Leevis addon has much more features, but to be honest, 80$ (or even 60$ right now) was a show stopper for me: A personal EE license is just 100$, I find 80$ for a module way too much.
But I’d like to thank KoF for his EEPolls efforts as well - sadly, it seems the module is more or less abandonned right now.
while waiting for LG Poll
LG Polls is now available from my site. Check out the documentation for ExpressionEngines best poll module here.

I did have some issues trying the figure out the best price for LG Polls but in the end I weighed up the following:
I think a well crafted poll module adds a lot of value to a website. Polling your readers can lead you down new paths that you may have not thought of exploring regarding content.
Good poll results also make great material for traditional and online press releases.
As you all can imagine a polling module is not a simple undertaking. Many months went into building the module and making it a premium product.
The documentation that accompanies LG Polls is in my opinion 2nd only to the official EE documentation when it comes to covering all aspects of and ExpressionEngine addon.
If there is a poor response to the current pricing the price may change although this hasn’t happened yet. Based on the EE module market I think it will be more likely that I sell 10 units @ $60 rather than 60 units @ $9.95. I guess time will be the judge.
😊
Just my 2c
Cheers Leevi
