I usually use MarsEdit to create my entries and I was wondering if any of the extension hooks are called when posting this way?

Erin,

MarsEdit will be interfacing with EE through the Blogger API module. And data for an entry is handled entirely by the module. It isn’t passed off to the normal EE entry edit/publish functions which means it will skip any extension you have installed that interface with them.

And the Blogger API module does not have any extension hooks at present.

Hey Erin,

I was just told that I told you wrong. MarsEdit would ideally be interfacing with EE through the MetWeblog API module which is more flexible than the Blogger one (though both will work). In any case the extension stuff holds true. Entry creation/editing will not call any extension hooks in either module.

Jamie
