Can I have a user select an option in a form and have the email be sent to a particular address based on that category?
I have categories and emails set up in a weblog entry with mark huot’s multi-text extension.
I was thinking an extension for the hook when the form is submitted. But I’m not completely sure how to go about that.
I posted this on the solspace forum, but thought maybe there would be help here as well. Thanks if anyone can help.

I’m not quite sure why you have a weblog with categories and entries combined with a need for FreeForm.
Can you explain in some more detail what you want to do?

Thanks for the reply Jamie, I worked this out but not in the most ideal way. I posted on the freeform forum as well and they just said it’s not possible.
What I want is to have a list of categories in a drop down on a freeform. Then, depending on the category I want it to email to certain email addresses.
Also, I wanted the client to be able to edit these from the front end, that’s where the multi-text custom field in the weblog comes into play. I had to use an embed to make it show up in the freeform.
So, what I have now a form submitting to another page which pulls the email addresses from the weblog based on the category. This page/template has the actual freeform in it. That way the email addresses don’t have to show in the drop-down list.
