I thought the answer would be here (http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/36144/), but from what they say, segment variables should work in blog posts within allow eecode.

But Im doing it now, and it doesnt seem to work. whats strange is that THIS WORKS IN MY WEBLOG ENTRY:

{if segment_2 == "abc"}
segment works
{/if}

BUT THIS DOESNT:

{segment_2}

Any ideas? Yea i’ve heard its bad practice to put eecode in blogs, but i want the customer to be able to edit it, without giving them template access.

ok. nevermind, it works now.

the problem was i had my {exp:allow_eecode} tags outside of my weblog:entry tags. i put them on the inside and it works.
