Hey all,
LG POLLS IS READY FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!
I have a commercial version ready for anyone who wishes to purchase it. Just send me a PM and I will deal with these requests personally until I can finalise the e-commerce solution running on my site.
Thanks for all your support so far.
Mod Edit: Fixed your title, no need to yell in all caps.
G’day LG,
Great to find you developing for our community! =)
I was very excited today to find your offerings.
An honest and sincere question - for your commercial products (Like LG Polls) - are you committed to supporting them into the (near) future? i.e. EE 2.0?
Many thanks,
Thomas in Tassie

Yeah I’m committed to adding new features and supporting all my modules in EE 2.0.
The only thing I can see that might throw a spanner in the works is that one of my addons is superseded by native EE functionality.
EE 2.0 is going to be great and I’m sure there will be even more opportunities to extend the platform.
Any plans for a “survey” module?Ah the evil survey module beast raises its head again! I have been thinking about it but I am holding off creating any new modules until EE 2.0 Maybe I will consider it then.
Of course … given the core of our discussion above this makes very good sense …
But more waiting … . 🙄
Thanks for all your efforts,
Thomas
Not sure if I’m allowed to post this kinda stuff in the forums… I’m sure I’ll find out very soon but…..
As you may or may not know my beloved Newcastle Jets FC just won the national league so to celebrate…
I have reduced the price of LG Polls to $39.95 for the next couple of days until the beers wear off.
Go you Jets!
See you in the Asian Champions League!

Ok it took me a little longer than a couple of hours but you guys do get a tasty little extra.
The module will now inform you in the control panel homepage if an update is available. You can turn this warning off in the module configuration and set a cache time in minutes.
Cheers Leevi

Okay, I was getting this SQL error whenever I tried to go into the LG Polls module in version 1.0.5:
MySQL ERROR: Error Number: 1054 Description: Unknown column ‘exp_weblog_data.field_id_’ in ‘field list’ Query: SELECT exp_lg_polls.id as poll_id, exp_lg_polls.total_votes as total_votes, exp_weblog_titles.entry_id as entry_id, exp_weblog_titles.weblog_id as weblog_id, exp_weblog_titles.title as title, exp_weblog_titles.entry_date as start_time, exp_weblog_titles.expiration_date as end_time, exp_weblog_titles.status as status, exp_weblog_data.field_id_ as question, exp_members.screen_name as screen_name, exp_members.member_id as member_id FROM `exp_lg_polls`, `exp_weblog_titles`, `exp_weblog_data`, `exp_members` WHERE exp_lg_polls.entry_id = exp_weblog_titles.entry_id AND exp_weblog_titles.entry_id = exp_weblog_data.entry_id AND exp_weblog_titles.author_id = exp_members.member_id ORDER BY exp_weblog_titles.entry_date
So I just upgraded it to 1.0.5, but on the modules page it still shows as 1.0.4, and I am still getting the same error. Any idea how to fix this?
Hey drusoicy,
This is usually caused by miss configuration of the custom fields needed to use LG polls.
Can you please confirm that there are atleast two custom fields in your polls weblog one of each of the following types:
LG Polls: Questions LG Polls: Details
Cheers Leevi
