I want to create two weblogs at once in the Control Panel->Publish page, the 2nd being a related weblog entry that can either be selected if it already exists (as you can presently do), or be inserted then & there, so the admin isn’t forced to Publish two different weblog entries separately ?

Just so there’s no confusion, the first part of that statement should read:

What is your reasoning for doing this?

Requirements. The client wants to be able to enter one weblog entry per member instead of two, and it’s appropriate for the data in both to be separated because the base data used in other weblogs. Data A Data B

Data A is base data for a member. Data B is information specific to both Data A and Data B being displayed.

Two other weblogs utilize Data A as base data for their specific use.

Make sense ?

RipeMedia,

Shouldn’t be too bad.

Using the submit_new_entry_end hook you can grab all of the data that was submitted and then use it to create a second entry wherever you want. You can likewise go back and make changes to the original afterwards (like for instance if you wanted to select the new entry dynamically generated in a field in the original).
