Hmmm, nope I don’t see anything that stands out when comparing my code to yours. Here is my freeform template code:
{entry_title}{imageName} {imageDescription}{/entry_title}
{field:gallery-image}https://ellislab.com/asset/images/ent-partner-logo/{attachments}{filename}{/attachments}{/field:gallery-image}
{field:gallery-image-name}{imageName}{/field:gallery-image-name}
{field:gallery-image-description}{imageDescription}{/field:gallery-image-description}
and here is the code I’m using in my moblog preferences for the moblog template:
{field name="gallery-image" format="none"}
{images}
{file}
{/images}
{/field}
{field name="gallery-image-name" format="none"}
{text}
{/field}
{field name="gallery-image-description" format="none"}
{text}
{/field}
I just checked again to be sure and it’s still uploading two images into the image directory. So, I guess I may not be able to use the moblog after all if this continues.
No, this isn’t your fault at all Mark! I wouldn’t even have gotten this far without your assistance. I’m just glad that I at least somewhat understand the moblog module now because before two days ago, I couldn’t tell you the first thing about it. Glad I’m expanding my skillset. 😊
Hi Deron,
Just a thought. Your moblog e-mail address and the notification address aren’t one and the same are they?
I wouldn’t give in just yet as it really is quite an elegant way of getting file uploads and entries into the system when you do finally get it all working. I’m not too sure what exactly is happening in your case and why you are getting the two uploads but I promise you that it is possible 😊
Best wishes,
Mark
Hi Deron,
Sorry I’ve taken a while getting back to you on this one. This seems really weird but one thing you could try is taking out the code from Freeform that uploads the file or take out the Moblog file attachment code. As it is uploading twice then maybe it is one of these that is doing it?
Best wishes,
Mark

Ok, I’ll give that a try.
I’m wondering though, if I remove either one of these, then one of two things could happen right? 1. Either the file doesn’t get uploaded, or 2. the file name doesn’t get placed into the custom field I’ve created in the weblog?
