Hey Bryan,

Best to grab the latest version of the extension.

Then can you open the custom field. Change the custom field type to text area and post what the field formatting says?

Do you have firebug or any other web developer toolbar?

Cheers

I have it working now where I can format the text, but am unable to insert a link. How could I go about adding this functionality back in?

Adding links is built into TinyMCE… try selecting some text first 😊

I have attached an image for your reference. I don’t see an option for linking, just bold, bullets, etc.

The TinyMCE toolbars are controlled by the configuration in the extension settings.

Please read the documentation: http://leevigraham.com/cms-customisation/expressionengine/lg-tinymce/#configuration

Cheers

I read over the configuration settings, but unfortunately am still unclear of how to adjust settings. It seems like the linking feature would be automatic. I have attached a screen shot of my settings in the extension manager. Does this look right?

Ok it seems you are using EEs tinyMCE extension not LG TinyMCE. They are two different extensions.

If you wish to use LG TinyMCE you will need to download it and follow the documentation.

I installed it changed the field type to WSIWYG, but still it’s not changing.

Does this attachment look correct?

I recommend you uninstal both extensions and delete the files. Then upload LG TinyMce and start fresh… There will be default configuration included with LG TinyMCE that will get you started

Is EE’s TinyMCE extension still enabled?

That did it. I really do appreciate the help. You’re awesome. It’s people like you that makes EE such a great product.

Well just when I thought it was fixed I noticed the formatting is off. It does not want to let me do just one line break. Talk a look at these two screenshots.
