Hi there,

So I’d like to give it a shot at making an extension to be able to subscribe to campaing monitor mailing-list.

However I have a few questions before starting: - am I right I should write an extension (and not a plugin or a module)? - should I wait for EE 2.0 to be released since, apparently, the code will be rather different? Any word on the release date? - campaign monitor provides us with an API. Where should I start to use this API for the extension?

Note that I’m not a developer. I have some knowledge in PHP and I’m willing to give it a try in my free time. If you want to help, feel free to guide me. You probably have more experience than I do 😊

Have you seen this thread - seems like David J is looking into doing this as well - maybe you can help each other out?

Hey guys,

You can do this simply with a couple of well crafted urls and some php in your templates… I’m have done this for a client project so I can’t give away the secret.

Lets just say you don’t need an extension unless you want to tie in other EE membership functions.

Cheers

I’m also interested. I’m also hoping to do some Campaign Monitor stuff from an EE site we’re developing. Keep me posted or let me know how I might help. I don’t really know PHP, so any help I could get would be much appreciated.
