After editing in a WYSIWYG field, the HTML source shows tags.

However, after pressing “Update,” the generated source code no longer shows those tags.

Any suggestions for threads that may have discussed this?

Update.

I found another thread recommending changing the custom field back to Text Area, select None for formatting, then back to WYSIWYG.

Now, in the source code, I’m seeing tags. However, in the generated page, tags are appearing instead of tags.

I see an old clean-tinymce extension that changes to . However, is there a way to retain those tags within LG TinyMCE?

I searched around and couldn’t spot this particular quirk in a thread. If you’ve got the field type set to ‘none’ EE shouldn’t be affecting the code. I’m not sure what TinyMCE does with it, though.

I am going to shift this down to extensions and tweak the title so it’s clear which extension you’re using. That’s the best spot for a third party addition- more likely to get user eyeballs on it there.

So in the generated content the html tags are gone? Go to: CP Home › Admin › Weblog Administration › Weblog Management › Edit Weblog > Some Weblog Go to: Weblog Posting Preferences, and check if ALLOW ALL HTML is selected. Btw be sure to have the latest TinyMCE installed and the latest Version of LG_TinyMCE.

Man your on fire lately!
