LG Template Info - New Plugin

Is there a way to use the value returned by this plugin in a conditional? I tried this, which didn’t work:

{if {exp:lg_template_info attribute='template_group_name'}=="discipline"}text{/if}

It didn’t throw an error either, but I’m sure I’m spelling things right.
