Help with small hack to the textile plugin

I see– I just submitted a bug about this to the textile developers. Hopefully they can get it fixed.
So, then, can anybody help figure out a way for me to go back to the old plugin, and hack the bolding rules to be like they are in this new revision (fixing this glitch: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/76784/ )?

Do you know what version used to work with this? I’ve sifted through Textpattern’s Trac revisions for Textile and am not seeing anything that would appear to allow that syntax.
