subcategories plugin does not take conditionals

Hi,

I am using the subcategories plugin to display a list of subcategories with their images. But when I use and if conditional to display the category image, it does not work.

My code is:

pre>{exp:subcategories}</p> <p>{if category_image} {category_image} {/if}</p> <p><a href="http://{path="> <h3>{category_name} </h3></a></p> <p>{category_description}</p> <p>{/exp:subcategories}

It may be a very simple thing, but it does not work.
