Was looking for some type of module to produce feedback among members similar to eBay. Just wondering if anything’s out there, and if not, whether any developers were looking into possibly making one. 😊

Someone has proposed a Buy/Sell listing site for on campus activities and I’d be interested in doing it because I think, even I’d find it useful to be honest. 😊

Would love to have some type of feedback system for it similar to eBay.

solspace’s rating module

While many use it for rating with “stars” etc, it also acccepts textual Reviews which would be along the line of what you are looking for? .

Bruce,

I’m aware of that module actually.. But I was more so interested in incorporating in like so: Weblog entries would be item listings and it would automatically all have an expiry of abotu 20 days. For interested users, they can inquire and I’d need some type of event/action to designate a buyer. So the weblog entry OP must “choose” a winner or something and than it would allow users to provide feedback into each others profile actually.

I suppose Solspace Rating would be effective in some shape or form, but I’d still need some type of method of only allowing 2 parties (seller, buyer) to be able to use it for the specified entry.

Any ideas? 😊

I’d then attempt the comment form using conditionals. Providing buyer and seller are registered, and the seller is author, and can edit their own post, one could have a custom field where seller enters the username of buyer… along the line of

{if seller !=''} comment form {/if}

A start maybe? user authors with users module is a possible, maybe getting too far out here…

Bruce,

One more thing.. Any ideas on how about I might reciprocate the feedback with a buyer so seller can leave feedback to the buyer? I, unfortunately, cannot think as far out of the box as you can. =)

{if seller !=’’}
comment form
{/if}

The above should have been if buyer !=” And the seller can enter something into the buyer custom field, then conditionals to see comments are author and buyers username in buyer field? comments can only be seen by buyer and seller if the seller has entered the buyers username. Maybe I’m getting lost and someone will have a better idea (out of the box into a puddle) lol
