I’ve seen this come up a LOT lately, with different extensions. Did you recently upgrade anything on the server? The line in question is always:
$SESS->cache['mdesign'][trim($tmp[0])]['latest_version'] = trim($tmp[1]);
That whole “_check_for_updates” function is TOTALLY useless and outdated.
What I would do is this:
1) rip out EVREYTHING from line 245 (a comment line with a lot of equal signs) to the end of the file, leaving
// END
}
?>
at the bottom (to close the class).
2) Then remove line 100:
'control_panel_home_page' => 'control_panel_home_page',
because we no longer need that hook.
3) Ah, this is getting a little stupid. Let me rip out all that stuff and post a new version. Back in a few.
I removed all that old update checking that actually wasn’t checking anything. Letest version of Weegee (1.0.1) is now available on the Weegee page.
To get all errors to go away (because I removed two settings) you may need to uninstall/reinstall the extension. Remember your settings!
OK, MD Add Sitename 1.2.2 is up. I removed the old-school update checking. I’ll also update this info on the original Add Sitename thread.
Hi Ryan, I’m trying to download Weegee from your site: http://www.masugadesign.com/download.php?ext.weegee_101.zip and get the following error:
Either a referer was not sent or it was from another domain. The attempt has been logged and action will be taken if necessary. Please be aware that download applications that hide referers, such as GetRight, GoZilla! and Download Accelerator Plus, will prevent you from downloading files here. It is recommended that you disable the download managers and use your browsers in-built downloader.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Peter
OK, I put MD Weegee on GitHub. A few minor updates to it, which are listed in the README there.
Brilliant, Thanks Ryan.
Alas you need to update line 156 to read:
$LANG->fetch_language_file('md_weegee');
It’s currently looking for the old language file (just weegee).
It works perfect.
Quote from your site:
NOTE: If you need an image preview that will work with a regular custom field, or with more than one field in different weblogs, you should check out LG Image Preview. It takes the main idea behind Weegee and runs a bit further. (I haven’t confirmed whether it will work with a ‘File’ field type).
LG Image Preview doesn’t work with Mark’s ‘File’, as that’s the first one I tried.
Cheers,
Peter
