@Brandon Kelly

I’d tend to agree with PXLated on this one. All credit to you for putting in the work and donating this highly accomplished extension - but I think you could have been a bit more gracious there… I’m guessing that for one reason or another a number of people will be using Leevi’s contribution for a while… (although of course I could be wrong there).

Kind regards to the both of you - Martin

Hi Folks, I’m going to go ahead and hijack this thread … FF Matrix is a lot like LG Data Matrix, except that it’s more reliable, …

Heheh! More reliable? Time will tell! 😊

Guys, I have nothing but respect for Leevi. Me and him are like this (crossing fingers). And obviously I love LG Data Matrix – I’ve even written an article on EE Insider hailing its greatness. (And, uh, contributed to its 1.1 release by adding the Date and Checkbox celltypes.)

Leevi’s on board with FF Matrix in a big way (LG Tiny MCE 2 is a celltype!), and has even helped me out a bit.

Apologies if this came across as an attack. Just joking around.

-Brandon

I thought it was funny. 😊

THANK YOU.

BTW, “more reliable” in that you can, like, change your column names without the whole thing collapsing.

If Leevi’s on board it certainly wasn’t/isn’t obvious from his “Boooooo!!!!” comment.

I for one appreciated the hijack as the timing for nGen’s file field type using ffmatrix could not have been released sooner. it solves a much-requested feature, like that noted at the top of the previous page. ngen file field type can be found here:

OK, Brandon, I concede, it was kinda funny (LOL) and I’d agree Leevi likely ‘on board’ - I just felt a little bit for those here still wanting a bit of support on the old LG Matrix…

So is LG Matrix officially on the way out then or is there a return salvo on the way? He he…

Wow, if creating Playa didn’t give you the street cred to hijack a thread then I guess nothing will. Thanks for the info but we fear change. JK, I will be checking this out, thanks for the info, Brandon!

Attached a screenshot when adding a row… This is awesome, nice work!

I have this problem too, any fixes?

EDIT: woops, didn’t realise the quote doesn’t attach the files.

I’m having a problem with the rows being ‘mangled’ in internet explorer.

Hey,

I’m having an issue with LG Data Matrix on a site where I can’t reorder rows.

I’ve got a contact list built using this, and the client added a new employee, and every time we drag the listing up to where it should be and click update, it goes back to the bottom.

As far as I can tell, I’m not getting any javascript errors in the publish pages.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Doesn’t look like I will be able to FF Matrix just yet. I created a custom FF matrix field called “glossary”, but the {glossary}{/glossary} tag pair doesn’t work (the page displays just that).

That, and Japanese characters don’t seem to be supported. Writing Japanese characters, then clicking Upload, followed by revisiting the entry in the CP gives me the following errors, with the matrix fields cleared:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /path/to/system/extensions/fieldtypes/ff_matrix/ft.ff_matrix.php on line 424 Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /path/to/system/extensions/fieldtypes/ff_matrix/ft.ff_matrix.php:424) in /path/to/system/extensions/ext.lg_htaccess_generator_ext.php on line 672

Yes, for the second error, I have the LG htaccess generator installed.

Hey guys,

LG Data Matrix is no longer in active development or supported. I recommend everyone move to FieldFrame matrix.

Cheers Leevi
