Twitter Timeline: Autolinking URLs

I’m using the Twitter Timeline plug-in and wonder if it’s possible to force it to auto-link URLs? I’ve tried wrapping the ‘{text}’ variable with the ‘Auto-link’ plug-in but no luck. I guess becuase I’m trying to execute one plug-in inside another (sounds like a bad idea!).
Could the Twitter Timeline plug-in be extended to include the option to have EE parse the text variable with it’s typography class?

I think I’d like to see this too - like a parameter asking if I want to auto-link or not.
I would also love having this feature, yet can’t be arsed to try my hand at pulling in tweets manually with php or JS and the twitter API.
Also very interested in this feature!!!
I too have tried wrapping the tags as well as embeds. If the auto link plugin could work- that would be just as good.
We’ve added Masuga’s suggestion as a feature to our copy of twitter plugin that uses EE to auto gen the links found in a tweet. Sent it to Derek Jones to distribute, hopefully it’s released soon.
