Are you using LG tinyMCE or EE’s tinymce extension?
You will need one of those to link tinymce to textareas in the backend
I’m using this one: http://expressionengine.com/downloads/details/tinymce/
The instructions say “put it at the root of your EE site” although it’s not obvious what “it” is, since the download consists of a zip file with many nested folders inside. I must have done that part right though, or close anyway, since the edit tools appear.
LG– I downloaded your extension, which appears to be two files. I posted the lang file in language/english. I posted the ext file in extensions. I enabled the plugin. Now I have no editor AND empty text boxes.
What documentation?
I still don’t know if I properly installed TinyMCE. The folders I extracted do not match the documentation on the tinyMCE web site. I now have
root/tinymce/examples root/tinymce/jscripts root/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce
etc.
Hey Haycock,
Ah I’m guessing you grabbed the extension from the EE site. Try http://leevigraham.com/cms-customisation/expressionengine/lg-tinymce/
