This is what I get when I view my “source page” in one of my article page. I am just curious since the description and keywords appear twice in the page. Is it normal?
Hi Leevi, I’m trying to make Better Meta work for a client of mine but I’m having a lot of issues, most of them which I somehow solved but I can’t still make it work.
Basically, Better Meta keywords are not being stored and I don’t know why. I already tried on a different EE installation and the problem persists. If I create a new blog or edit an existing page I can add new keywords, title, etc, but when I go back to the page using Edit just to check, all the fields are blank once again.
Am I doing something wrong?
Leevi, Are you discontinuing the freeware version? I use the paid version for some sites, but appreciate the option to use the freeware when less features are needed. Ben
Hi Ben,
The freeware version was discontinued when version 1.6 was released for a couple of reasons:
I appreciate that the freeware version of the extension suited some users and clients. However I honestly believe that anyone who is serious about SEO would be happy paying the per site licensing fee considering the benefits the extension brings.
I can also guarantee that the majority of monies that is raised from the licensing fee of LG Better Meta goes back into supporting the development of my other freeware extensions.
Sincerely
Leevi
Hmmm everything seems fine with your setup. What other extensions do you have installed?Only the LG Live Look v1.0.0 😊 (which by the way doesn’t work when a post is closed and/or set to go live in the future)
Ah now we are getting somewhere. First you’ll need to read the caveat at the top of the Live Look post and implement the simple fix.
Regarding the template setup please refer to this post which explains how to setup the templates correctly.
