LG Better Meta

I installed the LG Better Meta extension on a client site and am getting a weird error. When I go into the extensions manager I can enable the extension but when I go into the settings page for the extension and then click on submit (even without changing any of the default settings) I get the following error

Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /system/index.php on this server.

The permissions on the index.php file are 777 so I am baffled at what is really going on. Any ideas?
