TinyMCE - settings don’t save

I’ve been using TinyMCE via the LG TinyMCE extension without any issues for months now. Today, when I was trying to get it to work on one of my MSM sites, it stopped working. What I discovered was that the extension settings were being blanked out (and that’s why the toolbars weren’t showing when I went to Publish/Edit).

I upgraded to the latest version of the extension (1.3.2) and reinstalled it. When I enabled it and looked at the settings, everything was there. When I hit Submit on the Settings page and then went back to the Settings, everything was gone. The only thing that brings it back is when I reenable the extension.

I’m using the 08292008 build of EE and MSM.

Any ideas? Without TinyMCE, it is very difficult for us to publish.

triom,

Since this is a third party extension, I’m shifting this down to the extension forums, where Leevi stops around quite often. Have you tried contacting him?

Regards,

-greg

Not yet..

It appears to be a problem with the length of the settings that are saved in the extensions table. At least that’s my guess. I’ve got TinyMCE running on three sites and it seems like the settings for all 3 sites are stored in one field.

This is a db column length issue. Please see this post for some suggestions: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/91768/
