I tried for days now to activate the imagemanager with my tinymce and its just not showing up.

Tiny Mce seems to be working fine and I copied the imagemanger folder into the tinymce plugin folder.

wouldnt my next step be to add the line

plugins : ‘imagemanager’

to the tinymce config?

->where exactly do I add the line? It seems whenever I add the line, the entire tinymce toolbar doesnt show up anymore.

k so in your LG Tinymce extension settings you want to add that imagemanager bit in like so to the plugins

plugins : 'safari,pagebreak,style,inlinepopups,media,contextmenu,paste,'
+ 'fullscreen,nonbreaking,xhtmlxtras,imagemanager',

ah. I figured it out. The image extension is actually not on the toolbar but it is in the insert/edit image button. However, it is working correctly now and finally this looks like an easier to edit section.

Off topic: Expression engine is such a powerful and awesome system BUT the editing of content seems very outdated compared to a lot of other blog engines or cms systems. Mostly image upload and placement seems difficult. I really hope that in version 2 this improves. ee should come with an editor like tinymce out of the box in my opinion.

Hey, I’m having trouble with this as well, I can’t get the imagemanager to show up even though I put in all of the 4 plugin declarations in ext.lg_tinymce.php

I have LG Image manager up and running fine, and the image manager is in the plugin directory of tiny mce, so I can’t figure out what’s wrong

Anyone got a clue, or maybe a source-file where it works that they can put up on www.pastebin.com or similar?

/Chris

How do the rest of you set up the authentication in MCImageManager? I can comment it out, but is that safe?

Use this: http://masugadesign.com/the-lab/scripts/moxiecode-authentication/

which sets the session needed to authenticate MCImageManager.

You have to log out of EE and log back in before the session is set the first time.
