I installed Mark Huot’s File Extension into my EE.

When I add this custom field to a blog. I get always the following error:

You have not defined a server path in the Upload Settings.

Altough I actually do have a server path set in my upload settings.

/opt/www/thomasm10/web/www.bfcrew.eu/zoekadvocaat.be/images/uploads/

little update, I just have gotten this error too :

Notice: Undefined index: server_path in /opt/www/thomasm10/web/www.bfcrew.eu/zoekadvocaat.be/system/extensions/ext.mh_file_ext.php on line 521

you have to create an upload path for your custom filed.

read on Mark Huot File Extension

ps.:Try searching for topics that already exist before you create new ones.

  1. I don’t want to be harsh, but if you would’ve read my topic, I ALREADY HAVE an upload path defined for this custom field.
  2. Okay searching the other topics –> that’s what I did, but the file extension thread is huge, and has to many pages, and isn’t structured at all.

What EE version and Extension version? Is your upload directory writable?

You have not defined a server path in the Upload Settings.

This usually happens when the highlighted dropdown in the image below is left blank.

Does your custom field look something like this?

thanks for the answer.

And after lot’s of pushing stuff, the problem seemed to be, I didn’t get the drop down list at my entry at first. But now it’s there and I can select my upload folder. Thanks for the screenshot… Like that I knew something wasn’t right 😊
