Nah Leevi, I guess you should not - so many good browsers out there, unfortunately, IE is not one of them. You probably can assume that admins or editors, having access to the CP, should be able to rely on a better browser than IE is. 😊
Agreed - but some clients won’t have that option, particularly ones behind a corporate network that won’t upgrade to a modern browser (my current situation).
Thanks for writing this, Leevi.

I did that, and the SQL error is now gone, and I can turn on the Live Look tab. But now this error appears:
Notice: Undefined index: publish_form_entry_id in /mypath/ee/extensions/ext.lg_live_look_ext.php on line 274
I can hit either Update or Quick Save, and the Live Look tab keeps returning this message: “Save this entry to enable Live Look.”
I’m pretty sure I’ve got the extension configured correctly. I’ve just got it enabled for one weblog, and I’ve tried setting it up with both a full and partial URL.
Sorry Leevi, I keep having the worst luck with your extensions! 😊 The ones I’ve got working are awesome though, and I’m sure this one will be great (for me) if I can get it to work!
I too am having problems getting this to work. If I navigate directly to the template it works. The live look link on the edit page works, but the live look tab on the publish page shows nothing…not even any errors.
Here’s my set-up: EE 1.6.6
Extensions: Tag Submit v2.6.2 (solspace) LG TinyMCE v1.3.3 LG Live Look v1.0.3 LG Social Bookmarks v2.0.2 jQuery for the CP v1.1.1
I’ve tried disabling all the other extensions and I still can’t get it to work. I did follow your directions on the first post for the find and replace on extensions folder.
Any ideas where I could be going wrong?
Excellent Extension! When it works.
Note: The caveat for getting around extension conflicts doesn’t have any effect when using Quick Save.
No matter how many extensions I turn off this error pops up.
MySQL ERROR:
Error Number: 1064
Description: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'LIMIT 1' at line 1
Query: SELECT * FROM `exp_weblog_titles` WHERE entry_id = LIMIT 1
The error does not appear when Updating the entry.
Update: As a test, I reenabled a few extensions and reverted the caveat back to the original files. The tab view has stopped functioning, but the above error is gone.
Update: I reinstalled Livelook 1.0 and now everything works fine.
I stumbled across this little commented gem whilst perusing the Livelook extension code …
// WHAT A M*THERF!@KING B!TCH THIS WAS // REMEMBER THE NAME ATTRIBUTE MUST ALWAYS MATCH THE FILENAME AND ITS CASE SENSITIVE // BUG??
Not sure why, but it put a smile on my early morning mug. Leevi, you rock dude.
That would be me, I only use mozilla/webkit browsers. But it doesn’t seem to work for me, maybe next time.I cannot for the life of me get the Live Look tab to load anything. The Live Look link works perfect.I’ve ended up advising clients that this will only work under Firefox/Safari/other Webkit browsers, because I’ve as of yet found no solution to getting it to work in IE, which is a real shame.
Yep, me too. Blank preview pane in Firefox, Konqueror and Opera. I’m running the most recent version. Any ideas?
