How to Build a Weblog Programatically

I’m working on a new module and I’d like to generate a weblog upon installation, rather than having the user go step by step to build it. Does anyone have a clue how this would be accomplished? Is it documented anywhere?

I would suggest to turn on displaying SQL queries, then create one and see what’s involved. It’s not too complicated, but there are a few queries involved.
