I have reviewed the configuration http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:Configuration and I cannot get the spellchecker to display in my toolbar.

Is there a trick when using the lg plugin for tinyMCE to adding the spellchecker into the configuration?

Make sure you have downloaded the full spellchecker plugin from the tinyMCE website and placed it within the plugins directory of your tinyMCE config.

I tend to put the following line at the top of the tinyMCE config:

spellchecker_rpc_url : '/path/to/tinymce/plugins/spellchecker/rpc.php',

Of course, replace ‘/path/to/tinymce/’ with the actual path.

Also ensure “spellchecker” is added in the “plugins” parameter and in either “theme_advanced_buttons1”, theme_advanced_buttons2” or “theme_advanced_buttons3” parameters.

plugins : "contextmenu,inlinepopups,paste,spellchecker,searchreplace,table,advlink,advimage,imagemanager,filemanager",
theme_advanced_buttons2 : "spellchecker,|,search,replace",

Hope this helps.

I came across this via a google search. Your suggestions helped, markgledhill -thanks. I had some of the plugin files, but not all. Needed to get the complete spellchecker plugin here and add the path in theLG TinyMCE settings, then it worked. 😊

I’m at this same point - extension works, but I have a specific install that I cannot edit the config to add spellchecker (or anything else for that matter.)

I installed/tested on one server, and everything responded as normal. This second install, going into the CP and the tinyMCE config, it will NEVER save my changes. I checked permissions, I edited the file manually…

Any suggestions?

Thanks. LG does some cool things!
