LG Image/File Manager reverting to xhtml formatting 1.6.5

Ever since upgrading to 1.6.5 my LG File/Image manager fields lose their ‘none’ formatting and revert to xhtml. From the post linked above, it seems the culprit is the fact that the extensions disables the formatting dropdown.

Any plans to fix this, or should I try to hack it in myself?

I had the same issue. Actually I have seen a lot of custom extensions having this problem.

Rather than hacking the extension, or EE, you could use the EE Typography plugin.

It allows you to override the EE formatting type. Just set it to {exp:ee_typography formatting="none"} and you are all set. Not as good a solution as it not working properly… but it does the job!
