Trouble enabling third-party extension

Don’t worry, this pertains to Expression Engine and isn’t just a question about a third-party extension!

I have used the WYSIWYG extension countless times before: http://leevigraham.com/cms-customisation/expressionengine/lg-tinymce/

Now however, simply entering the path “scripts/tinymce” in the configuration settings won’t work, I have to put in the full hardcoded URL “http://mysite.com/scripts/tinymce” and when I edit an entry and view an image path, it hard-codes the path to the control panel (Eg: image paths are converted to “sitename/system/images” (and thus image links are broken) and there’s nothing I can do to change it.

Does any one have an idea of what could be going on here?

I suspect this may be better in the ‘extensions’ forum, so may shift it down. But- let’s see if we can spot why it stopped working. Did you upgrade EE right when the change happened? Make any other changes- including upgrading the extension? It worked before on the same install, but stopped- correct?

No, it’s worked on other installs before, but not this one. I didn’t upgrade EE, this was a fresh install of the latest version.

I would probably grab a fresh copy of the extension to rule out file corruption. See if that shakes out any bugs. That being said, I’m going to move this down to the extensions forum as I think it’s a better fit.

Thanks,

-greg

Still no go. Can I give you the access to view yourself?
