Adding Extension Hooks (or am I missing something?)

I’d like to be able to modify the restricted control panel in the same way I can modify the full control panel via the show_full_control_panel_end hook. Is there any enlightenment to be had from this fine community, or am I stuck adding my own hook to cp.display.php?
