LG TinyMCE Custom Field and Playa in Conflict

I have been having an annoying problem adding new custom fields in which the JS stops working. So, for example, if I go to:

Site › Admin › Section Administration › Field Groups › Custom Fields > Create New Custom Field

and change it to type “Drop Down” the Javascript does not automatically make the drop-down options appear. I have to reload the page. This is especially worrisome because it prevents me from checking the “Apply to previous entries” box when I change something.

Here’s what I mean.

(Not sure if this is AJAX or just looks AJAXy) but either way it doesn’t work. At first I thought the problem was Playa. But then I did some more testing. If I turn ON Playa and turn off all other extensions, everything is peachy. If I turn ON LG TinyMCE Custom Field and turn OFF Playa, all is well. I’m not getting any Javascript errors, so I have no idea what else I can do to troubleshoot. Any ideas?

(I do need both Playa and TinyMCE)

Dan,

I’ve seen this bug before. Leave both extensions on. If I remember correctly, I think you need to create your custom field as a textarea.

Then go back in to it again, and change to Playa. Now you should see the options.

There is some other weirdness w/custom field creation, they’re a bit buggy with extensions.
