Greetings all,
I just installed LG Twitter 2.0.1 - and when I clicked on “enable” in the extension manager… the page refreshed to a BLANK page.
Subsequent logging out and logging back in also lands me on a BLANK page… and I can’t access the control panel or anything.
I tried removing the LG Twitter files… but when I try to log in… it gets an error saying my Twitter extension files are missing.
So no I’m stuck!
I’m running ExpressionEngine 1.6.6 build 20081114
First, by removing the LG Twitter file you haven’t desactivated the extension. You should put them again and find a way to desactivate the extension.
Second, regarding the blank page problem. Are you sure you set up correctly all the file, especially the language file.
I think you may have for example copied the language file in the wrong folder (ie, in the english folder but you’re using the french language pack).
If it is not the case, try turning on PHP error and tell us if there are some errors displayed.
Thanks.
I put all the files back, double-checking the correct locations… So I think I’m okay there.
I had to dive in to PHPMyadmin to manually disable the LG Twitter extension… because I couldn’t access my control panel at all.
I’m not tech-savy enough to figure out what PHP errors, if any, are responisible….
Thoughts, anyone?
It may be the call home to Leevis site that may be going wrong here? Pretty sure that extension can check with his site to see if there is a new version out. Sometimes it can’t connect home and so this can happen. If it is that then your CP should come back soon, hopefully. Might be an idea to get in touch with Leevi directly though to see if it could be this though.
