Two extensions that add columns to Edit screen ... conflict

Hi, newbie to the extension world. I’m using 2 extensions that add columns to the Edit screen. I can only get one of them to work at a time. Where should I be looking in the files to see where the conflict is? Or can you only add a single extra column to the edit screen?

The extensions are “Restrict Entries” and a “Custom Field on Edit Table” extension that someone whipped up in another thread. (Sorry, I don’t have the links handy.)
But … over in this thread, I solved the issue. Using the Simplify Edit Table ext. cleared out enough space for these new columns to get along.
