New Extension: nGen File Field for FieldFrame

Getting the following error after having installed this… seems strange.. any ideas anyone, all my paths are correct as far as i can see, ive followed instructions etc… but when i go to upload an image in the weblog i can choose one fine but on clicking on use existing image nothing works..

then when i got to save i get the following error

OKay im having the same problem as g-rom

Undefined property: Ngen_file_field::$upload_prefs in

Do i need to downgrade the version im using, seems like there may be a problem with it? or have i done something wrong here..

Hi flashwiz. Can’t actually help with your “undefined property” issue, but just to make you feel better… I was getting it as well with version 0.9.9. I had to roll-back to version 0.9.8 to fix it.

It was causing other issues as well…I couldn’t actually upload anything! Minor issue of course… ha ha.

Yeah i cant seem to do anything with it… been messing around for the best part of an hour… that will be a bit frustrating if it was just the new version that has a bug!!

Oh well.. will have to find an older version..

Those of you experiencing the issue with required fields not being honored, this is actually a FieldFrame issue. I’ve made Brandon Kelly aware of this and hopefully a fix will be available in the near future.

Regarding the couple other issues I’ve PM’d a few of you, so please check your PMs.

Has anyone pulled out the “thumbnail” functionality so that this will work on servers without GD installed? I went in and commented out the GD-specific stuff to get it working, but did not remove any of the thumbnail-specific display code - would be a nice option, use with or without GD.

The extension rocks with that one little (not so little) nitpick!

Is there a simple way to remove the option to “use an existing file”? I am currently hiding it with this CSS rule:

.ngen-file-choose-existing{
display:none;
}

…But it’s of course still there if you turn off all styles, so that’s not ideal.

Hmm, I’m suddenly getting this error with v.0.9.10:

I have uploads set to accept any file type, not just images.

Thoughts?

v.0.9.10 is giving me a blank screen whenever I go to edit an article. I downgraded to .97 and things are working again. Do you have a copy of .98 I can use in the meantime?
