Hi Sue…

Yeah no problem… Sorry there must have been a bug in the update… I added a new feature that automatically checks my site for updates and displays them on the homepage.

You ay need to set these options in the module configuration. I recommend using a fairly large number for the cache refresh… say 600 or 1200 which will improve the CP homepage loading time slightly.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Cheers Leevi

While you’re at it… see the screen shot below. The graphic path is incorrect, and the font size gets wonky in Firefox.

Hey Sue,

Is your EE install in a sub folder?

Cheers

Nope, it’s installed in a system directory. Hosted at EngineHosting.

NOTE: I’m getting to the site via admin.php from the root.

Ahh.. if I go in via the /system directory, I see the images. The text is still too large.

But it shouldn’t make a difference if I go in via admin.php or directly through the /system directory.

Ah ok… so engine hosting has some kind of CP masking?

No… admin.php is a file that you can put on any site that masks the path to the system directory. It’s found in the /system/utilities directory.

I use it on many clients because that way I don’t have to remember what the path to their control panel is at.

Hey Sue,

I just sent you a PM with a new version to see if it fixes the CP masking issue.

Cheers Leevi

I am getting an error message when I try to display a poll:

Sorry, You are restricted from voting in this poll.

I have every member group checked in my module settings and in my individual poll. How else should I troubleshoot this? It’s happening in a browser where I’m logged in as a super admin and then another one where I’m not logged in at all.

EDIT: Nevermind Leevi, my member groups weren’t checked on the individual poll. It’s working now.

Hey Leevi, this might be a dopey question, but given LG Polls are essentially weblog entries, I take it users can comment on the entry as per normal entries?

As already commented comments work fine. Everything you can do with an entry you can do with LG Polls. You can also add other custom fields for the entry. Maybe you want to create a poll based on an image or something like that. You could even have related polls if you chose to. Anything is possible. 😊
