Hi Leevi, Is it possible to use your module without AJAX? Also is it easy to setup your module for a survey-like page? (ie having more than one question in one page)? Thanks for your module. It looks great. If your answers are positive, get ready for some money 😉 Vincent
Yep vincent… It’s possible.. The ajax is just an added extra.
Is there a way to see if an entry has a poll attached and only run the poll tags then?
To explain: I don’t mind the fact that this is setup to use a “poll blog”, rather than add polls to current entries (admit that I’d love that though). I’d like to use modify my standard template to include polls for the poll blog. Basically, we’d add the same fields to the poll blog that our normal entries blog has, and then the url and post would look the same.
If I attempt to run the poll tags now on the normal entries page I get an error that there’s no poll on any entry that, you guessed it, has no poll. Makes sense, but is there any conditional I can put around those poll tags so they only run for entries with polls and I can keep one template?

I always use relationships to attach a poll to an entry. That should solve your problem. Cheers
Got this error message when clicking on ‘Preview’. Seems similar to other posts, though the answer was to download 1.0.7 which doesn’t exist. I changed some of the URL to generic names for security purposes.

Btw, I don’t suppose there’s a way to have a different entry # system for this since it’s a different weblog? I was expecting the # of this entry in this separate weblog to start at ‘1’, but it’s just adding to my other entries in my blog at ‘1330’…, so I’m going to lose keeping easy track of the number of blog entries I’ve written.

Hey Tux,
I’m still trying to sort out the preview issue. For now I suggest you remove the preview buttons using an extension found on this thread

Nope… LG Polls is just a weblog which means it follows standrard ee weblog entry numbering practices.
Hey Leevi,
A client of ours just purchased LG Polls and we’ve installed it but it looks like something is a little off (we’ve used LG Polls before). Specifically, the setup/config area doesn’t look like your screenshots on your site. It looks stripped down (see my screenshots). I’m not sure what’s going but it’s also affecting configuration. After I hit the Update Module Configuration button, I get a blank screen. Any ideas?
Thanks! .angie
Update on the above… It’s not showing up/working correctly because it’s looking in what would be the normal spot (i.e., /system/modules/lg_polls/…). But in this particular case, EE has been installed on a subdirectory (I have no idea why - we inherited this site). I’ve never done that before so I’m not sure how to go about fixing this - any ideas?
