Thought this was an odd behavior and probably should mention it:
Dulee Noted attached itself to the field type of a custom field (see pic) and we’re thinking this is the reason why the fields weren’t being searched properly. We tried to uninstall DN and tried to reinstall it to see if it would remove itself from the custom fields. No luck.
Our short-term fix is to recreate the custom fields with a ‘_1’, copy and paste the content and then delete the original field. We have over 100 entries so it’s a bit of a task, any ideas why it would be doing this?
You’re saying you uninstalled it and that text was still there in the list? This is on the page where you view the custom fields, correct? Do you have access to the DB? can you see what the field_type field looks like in exp_weblog_fields table for the fields in question? Do they read “md_notes” or something else? What version and build of EE?
Probably something going on with the show_full_control_panel_end function around line 462.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Actually, when I uninstalled DN, it did go away and then came back when I reinstalled it.
This is the Custom Field page for a Custom Field group. Looked into the DB and the field type was ftype_id_8 which was a Playa field. Checked the other Custom Fields that shared the same field type and they didn’t have DN attached in their respected CF pages.
We’re on EE 1.6.8
