I am way excited about this. The other method I’ve been using was so taxing. I can’t wait to try it out. Thanks! 😉

wench, job well done. it works perfectly for me on my site. Nice work!

I’m not having much issues with load time, but I’ve also got nothing on my site either. 😛

I’m such a slacker…/sigh

I dropped it on my friends site and it looks to be working just fine. Thanks for the update 😊

thanks for the great module. I got it working without any problems.

FYI there’s a typo in the documentation

You can use the title images anywhere you want on your page. To override some of the settings in the database, use the folowing parameters.

Oops! Heheh. Will get that fixed asap. Thanks, Linguist.

Playing with it now…pretty cool – thanks for the module.

Only bummer (and I can design around it) so far is I’m using category names with dashes between words for nice URLs, and using the find and replace plug-in where they need to display. Trying to do both the F&R and the Title Image got me an image containing all the text from the F&R tag.

Did you try the parse= parameter, Michael?

Uh…where’s the “complete blank look” smiley when you need it? 😉

I didn’t because I dunno what you’re talking about …I don’t see a parse parameter on the docs for either the title module or the find and replace plug in….. :red:

BTW TechWench - I do note that I need to put a blank space in between the tags, otherwise some of my titles get the right edge clipped.

In other words:

{exp:titleimg}About {/exp:titleimg}

Rather than:

{exp:titleimg}About{/exp:titleimg}

See the “changing parse order” section of the plugins docs. =)

Huh. Learn something new everyday….now I forget what other mish-mash of plugins I was trying to get to work and couldn’t…maybe that would have helped.

At any rate, it didn’t help in this case - maybe because this title thing is a module?

Hmm…interesting. I’m gonna have to play around with the box/clipping settings. Would you mind sending me the font you’re using (or tell me where I can download it, if I don’t already have it, that is) so I can test it out?

Oh man….now I’ve played with about 10 different fonts….. :roll:

Pretty sure it was happening with Lucida Sans Unicode. And maybe Tahoma.

OK - here’s another oddity I’m seeing this AM.

Of course, it’s only in IE6.

On the first visit to a page in IE6, the title image shows but it’s not sized correctly. While on the page, I can refresh or I can delete history/offline files and then refresh - nothing changes the image. If I go away from the page and come back, the image shows correctly. Setting IE to “check for a new versions of stored pages - every visit” has no apparent effect.

If I first visit the page in FF - so the image gets created/cached, IE has the same behavior.

I’m seeing this happen with different fonts and different sizes.

I’m wondering if its related to the img tag not containing the width and height parameters for the image. If I grab the path to the image from the HTML and paste it into the IE address bar the image loads and displays correctly.

I’m attaching screen caps of one of the titles in squished and normal form….

THis module has caused site malfunctions for me. On my personal site (secret domain) but available by pm if necessary, all my categories started redirecting to the index page rather than the categories or months. Once I removed the titleimg code everything was back to normal.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I’d really love to continue using this module.
