Tag 2.0 beta testing

I run Tag 2.0 on a couple of sites. The frontend is really not very different. It has been said, EE 1.6 is required.
Ha, I’ve never used Tag 1, so I don’t know precisely what I was looking for. :roll:
But I suppose I wanted to see related entries by tags and gallery integration. Those are new right? They seem like they might be very useful to me.
OGB, I’ve got 2.0 running on my blog as well though I’ve not yet set up the related entries or gallery tagging yet. I plan to do so soon though.
I had relationships working but I mussed something up, so you can’t see it at the moment. My site is a live zone for breaking things, you see? 😉
Any further updates here. I’ve been trying to upgrade from Tag 1.1.6 to Tag 2.0 to see if it fixes a couple of issues of run into; but there’s no announcement on the Solspace site for for 2.0. Is it still in beta??
I’m wondering if it hasn’t been picked up by the EllisLab folks. My Google Reader showed a new post to the Addons RSS list and when I checked it it was for Tag 2.0, but when I click the link it takes me to a blank page here at the official site and I can’t find any listing of it.

What about people who already purchased this from Solspace?
What about them? I am one of them and I guess we will still get support as we are valid.
Also it states that all support for this module will be from Solspace and that EE are just certifying the module so I guess pretty much all is as before but that the EE crew stand behind its use?

Man, I have to say. I’ve been impressed with Solspace, and the fact that they’re certifying their work and we know that things like code sanitization is done and that the work adheres to the EE standard is great news!
From the Tag 2.0 Docs:
For example, imagine you have 3 tags on your site; apple, orange and microsoft. You specify that you want to show a cloud with 3 groups. If apple is used 12 times, orange 7 and microsoft 1, the top of your scale will be 12. Apple will get the highest rank and the largest font. Microsoft will get the smallest ranking and font.

Don’t know that it’s the best example, but I’ve been running 2.0 on my site for awhile now.
It’s on my site as well, using it to integrate displays from several weblogs and my gallery. And I even posted my code. winks
