Now, I feel like a bit of a dick here, am I missing something? The readme mentions two parts that I do not see:
1) Copy “images/easy_gallery/” directory to “images/” directory
I have no directory called “images” in the root of the zip I downloaded. The only contents of the root of the installation zip: CHANGELOG.TXT [dir] jquery README.TXT [dir] system upload_test.html
9) Use the “upload_test.html” to test the “jquery/upload.php” script if its fully functioning. (“jquery/upload.php” is most difficult part to get working that’s what I created it in a way where this “upload_test.html” will report to you the problems encountered in running “jquery/upload.php” by editing the “jquery/config.inc.php”)
I don’t have any file called “config.inc.php” in the jqeury directory. The only contents of the jquery dir is:
easy_config.php easy_gallery_upload.php handlers.js interface.js jquery.easy_gallery.js jquery.js SWFUpload.css SWFUpload.js SWFUpload.swf
Am I really missing something here?
Read me might not have been updated. I don’t thinkyou need to worry about the jquery/config.inc.php thing anyways.
there use to be folders called images/easy_gallery in the download. Taken out now it seems. But just create a folder called easy_gallery in your images directory. Might even be able to call it something else now, can’t remember.
Gallery extended doesn’t have the same functionality either. We really need someone to pick up the ball and continue running with this one. Obviously its a solution many are seeking, it’s worth making. Unfortunately I can only offer testing and suggestions - my understanding of the API is very limited.
Wow, when I saw this thread I thought “Christmas gift!!!” This is exactly what I am looking for and it would save me tons of time!
Now, is anybody using this extension? Does it work or is it still too “buggy” to use? If this thing works Wil.lax can expect a good donation from me 😊
